- The villa is in Vila Nova de Poiares, in the Coimbra district of Central Portugal — about 25 minutes by car from the historic city of Coimbra and close to Portugal's N2 route.
- Is the villa wheelchair accessible?
- Yes. The Sun-Kissed Suite is a fully accessible ground-floor suite with a roll-in shower, grab bars, an accessible toilet and open-knee sink. A gently sloping ramp leads from the parking area to a 32-inch (81 cm) wide front door with a 1-inch threshold, and step-free tiled paths continue to the pool terrace via a ramp.
- Does the villa have a swimming pool?
- Yes — a saltwater swimming pool with a ramp for step-free access from the terrace, surrounded by mature gardens and shaded seating.
- How many guest rooms are there?
- Three: the Sun-Kissed Suite (accessible ground floor), the Rose Parlor (ground floor with a private pool-view porch) and the Orchard Lookout (upstairs with a private balcony and mountain views).
- Are pets allowed?
- Guest pets are not accepted. The host lives on-site with one friendly dog and one cat, which are not allowed in the guest rooms but you may see them around the villa.
- What languages does the host speak?
- Denise, the resident host, speaks English and French, along with limited Portuguese, and offers personalised local guidance and itinerary help.
- Can the villa host a small retreat or group?
- Yes. The villa comfortably accommodates up to eight guests and suits yoga retreats, writing or art workshops, wellness weekends and small group getaways. It is not set up for parties.
