Meet Denise
I'm Denise, and I'm delighted to welcome you to Sunrise Villa Alvorada in Vila Nova de Poiares — a peaceful corner of Central Portugal that has become my home.
I speak English, French and limited Portuguese, and I love helping guests discover this often-overlooked region — from historic Coimbra to the schist villages of the Lousã mountains, and quiet stretches of Portugal's legendary N2 route.
Every guest gets my personal day-trip itineraries, restaurant recommendations, and a warm, unhurried welcome. If you're planning a relocation scouting trip, I've helped several guests through their own move to Portugal and I'm always happy to share what I've learned.
When I'm not welcoming guests, you'll often find me exploring the mountains, tending the villa's gardens and orchards, or enjoying a sunset from the terrace. Central Portugal has a slower rhythm — I hope you'll come and share a little of it.
Chloe & Noelle
I share the property with my sweet, gentle dog Chloe and my friendly cat Noelle. They know they're not allowed to enter the guest rooms, but you'll certainly see them in and around the villa. Many guests tell me they love having them as part of the peaceful atmosphere, and they often become an unexpected highlight of their stay.
